Maintain Mario's Miracle!
Donation protected
After 7 long years of waiting, my nephew, Mario Cuellar, got a new liver on 4/7/2018. 70 hospitalizations in the past 7 years have left the Cuellar family financially and emotionally drained. Many times we weren't sure if he would make it home from the hospital.
We are thrilled that Victoria and Mario Jr get to keep their dad around but the battle isn't over. He will be in the hospital for another 1-2 weeks. After that he will have to live in a hospital recovery apartment for 3 months with a caregiver who won't be able to work.
The co-pay/rent is $1700.00 a month. There will be co-pays for biopsies and labs and the many medications he must be on for life. The hospital and apartment are 3 hours away from the Cuellar home and gas prices are rising. They will still need to maintain their home in Clearlake for the kids to be able to go to school.
Please help us get Mario through to the end when he can come home. If all his friends donated $20 , we could get to our goal pretty quickly. He needs the first month's rent in two weeks.
