Quiyana's Home-going Fund

In order to talk about Quiyana Molina-Brown we have to talk about her fight...Sickle Cell was her fight, a disease that constantly caused unrelenting pain every single day of her life since she was 2.

As much as we wanted her to slow down, she just wouldn't. She knew what she wanted, and although she was in constant pain she went out and got it. In the midst of her fight quiyana's other organs began to shut down as well (kidney's, lungs, and heart) but no matter what she moved passed all her trials and tribulations and she built a beautiful family.

Quiyana leaves behind her Husband Calvin, who had become her full-time caregiver and all around bestfriend, her eldest and youngest daughters, and twin boys...they are her greatest achievements.

Being told she shouldn't have kids, of course she pushed for four beautiful children to carry out her legacy. Our daughter, sister, friend, niece, cousin, etc knew that life wasn't going to be easy, but she had faith that if she held out it would be worth it. Quiyana (or as we like to call her Qui-Qui) has lived with her battle for over 35 years, never asking for handouts just support, prayers and love. She wanted to make memories with the people around her, and build a life outside of Sickle cell. She wanted to be known for not allowing it to stop her or dictate her choices...I think she succeeded.

Please know we understand everyone has their struggle, we know that loss is inevitable, but we ask you family, friends, even strangers if you can please help us bury the woman who lived like she died...FIGHTING!
