Marianne has been through some very difficult times in her life, including 2 divorces, homelessness, bankruptcy and numerous illnesses, yet has carried on putting one foot in front of the other, struggling, yet never giving up. She was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (an incurable genetic disease) 6 years ago, yet continued to work and be head of her household.
Three years ago, several more illnesses forced Marianne to stop working. She divorced, and moved in with her family, living off her retirement. In the process, she reconnected with a school friend whom she hadn't seen in 41 years. They instantly feel deeply in love - a love neither had ever experienced before. Happiness was an understatement.
However, John had multiple serious illnesses, and Marianne loved and cared for him selflessly until his untimely death on May 17, 2017.
John wanted to marry Marianne to be sure she was taken care of in the event he passed, but God took him sooner than anyone expected. Her heart is grieving and shattered as this unique and one of a kind relationship with her love is now prematurely ended.
Unfortunately, Marianne's disability support has not yet been approved and her retirement has run out. John and Marianne lived as one under his SSD check. There are no other monies or funds to draw upon. Due to unfortunate family matters, Marianne is left without a home, car or means to live. Caring friends have taken her in at this devastating time. Until her disability is (hopefully) approved, she cannot work to support herself…yet she still needs to be able to live and be independent enough to get around on her own, without constantly depending on people. Necessities and bills need to be paid.
As a friend of Marianne, I'm starting this GoFundMe for her as she is too distraught to do so for herself. I'm asking you to please contribute what you can. Her life has been completely shattered and she need both the support and and to know there are still those who care.
