Maria José Abreu Rodrigues Luzirão Sequeira was a loving and dedicated mother. Through all the difficulties in her life, she always found a way to push through, always keeping her family front of mind. Navigating this chapter of her life in the midst of a pandemic has been challenging, and she and our family have been immensely grateful to all who have been there for us throughout this process. As her daughter, I am very proud to have had her as my mother and even more honored that she chose to allow me to take care of her and her needs in the final phases of life.

As I take care of making arrangements, those she has touched over the years and those who know our family have been reaching out, asking if there is any way to assist. Admittedly, we are a proud family, but I realize it was selfish of me to take this on all myself. Yes, she is my mother but she was also a friend and support to many more, and so if you want to contribute to the celebration of her life, this GoFundMe will allow you to do so. Regardless of the amount, know that your help has always been appreciated, and it will also ensure that I am able to continue to support my family in the months following the funeral without worry.
