This fund has been set up to help our dear friend, Rachel Akindele, so that she, along with her two younger sisters, can give their mother the send off she truly deserves.
We are raising funds for the three Akindele sisters, Rachel (26), Ruth (22) and Rhoda (17), who lost their mother unexpectedly on October 29th, 2017. Maria Kikelomo passed away at the tender age of 49 leaving 3 young daughters behind. Prior to her untimely passing, she displayed no signs of illness; therefore her death truly shocked everyone.
It is with great strength that these three young ladies have made the hard decision to start the burial process for their mother. This is something that no child, especially at such young age, expect to be arranging for one of their parents.
We are aiming to raise £8,000 so Maria can have the funeral she deserves. The funds will be primarily used on funeral expenses and legal expenses.
Ideally we would like to raise enough funds to help the Akindele sisters stay afloat after the funeral so that they do not have to leave their family home.
These girls are extremely responsible young women who have always been selfless by helping others around the world. Maria has raised three young ladies, two of which, have paused their own careers in order to do volunteer work around the globe. Countries in which these girls have volunteered include Senegal, Nigeria, Mexico and United Kingdom.
They are the definition and an example of how one should fill the world with good!
