Maria Calderon Funeral Expense
Donation protected
Our mother, Maria Calderon, passed away on October 1st from complications from dementia .
She was born in Santo Domingo, DR on October 22nd 1935. She moved to Queens when she was young, where she lived most of her life. Maria moved to Connecicut to be near her youngest children and grandchildren, where she lived out the remainder of her life.
She will always be remembered for her love of a bold red lip, a fresh hair dye and her grand children. Her children and grandchildren's fondest memory is of her offering "Bendicion" at the end of each visit . Her sister, Gladys Horsford, remembers her best as the one who taught her how to Salsa, ChaCha, and most importantly Merengue. Her beautiful smile will truly be missed.
We are posting this in hopes of raising money to pay for her funeral expenses . Your donation will be used to cover the funeral home, wake, burial, headstone and any other funeral expenses that may come up. The GoFundMe amount is based on initial conversations with the Funeral Home and could change once the arrangements have been finalized. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Luke 11:2-4 "Our father in heaven, Hallowed be your name.Your Kingdom come.Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one."
