Margot and her babies
Margot and her 5, 4 week old babies were rescued from a home where they were living on a high rise balcony in their own filth. Covered in their own faeces, fur matted down to their skin, urine scolds on their body which have burnt away part of their fur and extremely malnourished. They were fed on a diet of chicken nuggets.... Margot is pregnant AGAIN and preparing for her next litter of at least 5 more babies.
One of the current babies in particular really isn't doing well. He is extremely underweight, dehydrated and is in some pain. He has been receiving vet care (fluids, pain med injections and gut stimulants) over the past couple of days and we will need to continue this to give him the best chance.
UPDATE 7/1/2020 Margot gave birth to her second litter of 6 babies but sadly one didn’t make it. There will be 10 rabbits to fully vaccinate and neuter in this ONE case.
With ongoing vet treatment and to prepare for their vaccinations and neutering it will cost the rescue a MINIMUM of £2000.
