Margaret Burton

Hi,

My name’s Louise Burton, I am the daughter of Margaret Burton, a beautiful lady who lost her fight with Dementia on the 3rd September, 2022.

I am raising funds for Pendleside Hospice because of all the amazing work they do that is unknown and overlooked until needed. I didn’t know what they did until I was at the point of not being able to stand because of exhaustion as I took care of my Mum without support. I know that my mum who was a teacher, a fund raiser and a gentle pillar of the community would love to know that the chance to help someone else and say thank you! was made possible with her in peoples memory. The last few years were hard, heart breaking and to have something positive come out of it would be amazing.

More information about Pendleside Hospice: Pendleside Hospice provides care and support to people in the Burnley & Pendle area that have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. Care is provided free of charge to anyone that needs it either within our Hospice building at Reedley, out in the community or within a patients own home. Care and support is extended to the patients family and carers.
