Marez Family HOMELESS AFTER FIRE

Hi, my name is Robert Esquivido and I'm the uncle of the Marez Family.

 

I'm sorry to have to report this sad news during the holidays. My nephew and his family (wife and 3 boys) lost EVERYTHING early this morning in an apartment fire. Everyone was asleep, and thank god their mom was awaken by the smoke and fire. She literally saved everyone by pushing and carrying everyone out of the house, using her robe as a fire shield (the robe was on fire, but mostly protected her, sustaining 2nd degree burns to her back and hands). Both parents were burned in fire and all four are suffering from smoke inhalation and are still in the UC Davis Emergency Unit. 

Sadly, they lost their two dogs in the fire along with their HOME and ALL of their personal belongings (family memorabilia, clothes, Christmas and recent birthday presents, cell phones, car keys...literally everything).

 

We are asking the community for help in any way to contribute to their gofundme to help them, literally and totally, rebuild their lives. Please know that my nephew and his family (including our extended family) will be grateful for any financial assistance you can give during this time.
