Marcella's Hysterectomy Fund

Hi friends, my name is Marcella, and I'm asking for support right now with some upcoming medical costs. In the last year, I have had some pesky uterine fibroids that have doubled in size, causing discomfort and impacting other internal organ functions. After attempting other methods of a more holistic approach, my OBGYN is suggesting a partial hysterectomy for relief, which means the removal of my uterus, cervix, and fallopian tubes. I have decided, since I'm not having children and I would like not to have to wait another several years for menopause, that this surgery is the route to take. The scheduled date for the procedure is April 4th, which is approaching fast and requires a copay of $6500 to my insurance. YIKES! The recovery is estimated to be 5-6 weeks as well. So you see, that's why I have created this gofundme to try and fundraise some financial support to help me get the surgery and cover some expenses while I cannot work. I live alone and do not have a lot of onhand support either, so it will require lots of meal prep and delivery since driving will also be out of the question for the first couple of weeks. It's tough for me to ask for help/support this way. Still, I know because of experience and the wonderful generous donations of others, I was able to get through the challenges of a prior medical procedure. Any donations are deeply appreciated.
