On June 30th, 2018, I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of uterine/ovarian cancer called Carcinosarcoma that’s blocking my colon.
I had laparoscopic surgery to remove the ovarian tumors, but the huge uterine tumor, the size of my foot, was left untouched as it was enmeshed with other organs, mostly my colon.
I've had chemo therapy treatments and now surgery will be done on October 9th to remove the uterine tumor as well as the partially enmeshed colon. Daily radiation therapy for 50 days will follow with more chemo therapy treatment and finally a 3rd surgery to put me back together.
I am so grateful to my friends and family who have been praying for me. They have come to visit, sent flowers, cards, purchased wigs for me and filled me with so much love, hope, determination and positivity as I could never have imagined possible!
