Marc was recently diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) shortly before his 50th birthday. Known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Marc who has been the pillar of the Westebur family finds himself in an unfamiliar place. Instead of always doing for others, he is resigned to accepting help from others. As a prideful man, he is being tested to humble himself and allow others to give from their hearts. Community members and strangers are working to keep his family together through this battle with ALS... there is much work to be done to prepare handicap accessibility i.e. developing a new drive access, handicap sidewalk, ramps, widened doorways, and bathroom modifications. A local family donated a van allowing Marc the ability to watch his twins finish their senior year out with Dad by their side.
