Hi, I'm Nor Alzayegh from Norway, reaching out for my cousin, Maram Murtaja, and her family in Gaza. They urgently need to escape the crisis there. As their voice in a safer place, I’ve started this GoFundMe to gather support for their evacuation. My name is Maram, I am 22 years old, and I am reaching out for your help from the heart of Gaza, Palestine. My family, consisting of my beloved parents, five brothers, and one sister, faces the unbearable reality of the horrors of war, which has stripped us of everything we knew and loved. Today, more than ever, we are reaching out for a lifeline - not just to survive, but to find a glimmer of hope in an otherwise dark existence.

Our life in Gaza, once filled with daily joys and simple dreams, has become an unbearable struggle for survival. I had recently completed my university degree and started building a career as a graphic designer, dreaming of a future where my family could live in peace and safety. But the war has left us homeless, reduced our home to ruins, and forced us into a life on the run - now living in a tent in Rafah under conditions that defy any definition of humanity.

Our attempts to cross the border into Egypt, a step towards safety and stability, have met with a devastating financial barrier. Coordinators are demanding between $7,000 and $8,000 per person to add our names to the border crossing list, a sum far beyond our reach, especially after our home was destroyed.

Your support through this GoFundMe campaign means more than just financial aid; it's a lifeline, a sign of solidarity and humanity in a time when everything seems lost. Every donation, big or small, will help us cover the costs of crossing borders, finding a safe place to stay, and securing basic necessities and medical care. It will also support educational opportunities for my siblings and give my family a chance to rebuild in a new land.
