Monday night update: Our community continues to be amazing and we continue to find out more. The fire marshal said today that burning leaves got onto the cedar siding of the house and that is what caused the fire escalate so quickly.

UPDATE: Thank you all SO very much for your generosity to our family. We spent yesterday out at the property and there is just nothing left of the house. Pictures, furniture, everything gone. With it being a holiday weekend, we are having to spend more on temporary housing until offices open back up Tuesday to start looking for a long term solution. As a result of this and you all's generosity we have raised the goal to $2000.

I just started this because it was something I could do to help in a pretty much helpless situation and the response has been so amazing, so much more than I ever expected. Thank you again.

My parents' home and my childhood home burnt completely as a result of a grass fire on January 18th, 2014.

These can be dropped off between 8 AM-4:30 PM at the Osage County Water office behind the fireworks stand, in front of Riveted Church near the corner of Javine Hill and Highway 20.
