Manitoba Wildfire Relief
Wildfires are wreaking havoc in Manitoba. More than 2000 people have been evacuated from Manitoba first nation communities, but left behind are hundreds of pets, livestock, and stray dogs. Yes, you heard it right there is an overpopulation of stray dogs in rural first nation communities.
Given the number of animals needing to be rescued, the nonprofits working on ground level need food, water to feed them, and medical assistance for sick or injured animals.
These local rescues @ftfbc @saveadognetworkcan are working tirelessly to help animals impacted by the fires. Thousands of lbs of food are being delivered to ensure the survival of these animals.
They've one volunteer in each community who's staying behind to continue feeding.
And it will be around 3 weeks before the evacuees will be able to return to their communities. These animals need our help.
We're raising money to support their wildlife relief efforts.
