It is with great sorrow that we share the devastating news of the tragic passing of Mandy Silvers.
Mandy Louise Silvers, 53, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020 in Dallas, Texas.

A Texas Resident and Vallejo, California Native, she was born on April 10, 1967 in Vallejo, California by her surviving parents, James and Yoshiko Gilbert.

Mandy is an Alumni of the University of Oklahoma and Southern Methodist University.  During her career she worked in the telecommunications field with companies including Nortel and Lockheed Martin.   In addition, she worked in the medical field for several years as a medical office manager.

Mandy’s love for life and animals is shared by her girls, who happen to be complete mini versions of her.  Family was paramount to Mandy, she shared a true love for life and adored her two daughters as well as her fur babies; a Pug, Reggie, and her spunky puppy, Athena.  She always had a passion for travel and culture.  She often visited with her extended family in Okinawa where her mother is originally and proudly from.  Mandy was a loving mother full of joy and compassion for her children and she was also a passionate full-time caregiver for her mother, who suffers from Dementia/Alzheimer’s.

She was survived by her two loving daughters Jordyn and Jadyn, her father James Gilbert, mother Yoshiko Gilbert, brother Jimmy Gilbert, and sister in law Vidya Gilbert.  She also leaves behind her two dogs, Reggie and Athena.

Mandy was put to rest on Thursday, May 21, 2020 in Sachse, Texas, it was her wish to be cremated.  It was also her wish upon being cremated and laid to rest beside her older sister Kathy, as she too left this Earth too soon, and was laid to rest in Okinawa, Japan.

We have set up this memorial fund for her children Jordyn and Jadyn.   Although we cannot share the details of Mandy's passing at this time, we can share that we never did expect this to happen to Mandy at such a young age especially when she had so many things to look forward to.   This fund raiser will not heal the pain that her loved ones, especially her children, are going through, but it may assist with keeping the girls emotionally stable as they mourn the loss of their loving mother.
