Mammographer Fights Stage 4 Breast Cancer

On May 27, 2016 Michelle was diagnosed with Stage 2 infiltrating ductal with DCIS breast cancer. After several surgeries and radiation treatments, she thought she had won the battle, but a few weeks ago doctors discovered lesions on her spine and sacrum indicating that her cancer has spread to her bones.

From Michelle:
"Despite this incredibly difficult diagnosis, my focus has remained on how this will affect my family. A mother of 2 and 2 granddaughters. This past year I became the sole provider for our son Ayden, age 7, after his father suffered a traumatic brain injury. Despite all of these recent tragedies I have remained positive and determined to beat this disease!"

As her friends and co-workers, please help us pull together and support Michelle through this unbelievably tough time in her life. She has been working as a part time mammographer, without benefits. Michelle is a constant giver to those around her and a pillar of support. As Michelle is about to begin an aggressive treatment regimen, we want to ensure that she is focused solely on healing and supporting her family.
