Mama's Fight With Colon Cancer

Donation protected
My mom, Ruby Soriano, discovered she had colon cancer in January 2014.  She was the most "selfless" person I knew.  She hid her condition from us until January 9, 2015 when I had to take her into the emergency department for bloody stools.  Then, did me and my sister find out that she was at stage 4 with this disease, and it was almost uncontrollable.  I was in nursing school and my sister was in Texas, she refused to tell us because she feared we would worry too much and not be able to focus with our studies and work.  She lost that battle on Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2015, as Fr Jay of St Edward's Catholic Church Newark, gave her Annointing of the Sick and Last Rights, she took her final breath after he blessed her with her ashes on her forehead.  My mother did not suffer; she went peacefully with her undying faith.  Although she survived breast cancer 7 years ago, she couldn't win this battle and with her history of illness in the past, our father may be denied her life insurance due to a pre-existing clause.  My mom never asked for favors, she only granted them and fulfilled what she could when asked; she never asked for help.  We, as her family, are now asking for your help.  The expenses to put her at rest and the unexpected expenses of medical bills that may show up in our father's mailbox.  We don't ask for much; and if you knew our mother, she never asked at all.  She went on with this illness everyday with a smile and loved and accepted everyone in her presence.  May she Rest In Peace with all our loved ones who have gone.  Thank you so much in advance for your blessing and loving support.
