Mal’s Melanoma Mission
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kelsey Kuykendall and I am fundraising for my identical twin sister, Mallory. MAL’s battle with melanoma started back in 2016 with a small spot on her lower leg. 2 surgeries to remove the tumor and lymph nodes in 2016 that left her wheelchair bound followed by 3 years of numerous scans/doctors visits and her oncologist assured her she was cancer free.
Less than one year later- February 2021- another tumor started growing where the initial spot was removed. She was back to the oncologist to have yet again another emergent surgery with yet another chunk of skin cut from her leg. This all happening to her during her last semester of a rigorous nursing school program in SC.
With plans to move to FL shortly after graduating with her ASN immunotherapy was held off until a team of doctors in FL could be established for her. She moved to FL with me June 2021 and got a job working at the hospital to establish insurance and start her career.
Three months into working at the hospital MAL’s health was declining quite rapidly and she was unable to maintain her full-time position which allocated her benefits and entire income.
Fastforward to February 2022 where she was admitted to the hospital for over a week and diagnosed with metastatic melanoma in her lungs and liver and now kidney.
I am fundraising for my sis to assist in paying for her thousands of dollars in medical bills that continue to pile up.
Anything at all is greatly appreciated, even if it’s a daily prayer.
Lets help Mal w/her match against this malicious metastatic Melanoma. God bless and all glory goes to God
