Woosley fire victim lost EVERYTHING

Donation protected

Please help a friend, horseman, and riding teacher Brian Flanagan who lost EVERYTHING in the Malibu fire.

Everything, that is, except for his beloved horses and dog because when the fires came, he put their welfare ahead of his own.

All are safe now due to his efforts but saving his animals meant abandoning his possessions. He lived in a mobile home on the ranch where he trained horses and riders. Now that mobile home and all of his horse equipment are gone. All of his tack, all of his clients' tack, all of his stable equipment, saddles, bridles, horse blankets, halters, feeders, feed, all gone. His own possessions – everything from clothing to furniture to even his toothbrush – was incinerated. There are no structures left on the entire property and it's a major miracle that the horses there survived.

At this point, Brian has his car, the clothes on his back and of course, his dogs and horses. He can't run his business or get back to working with his students until he can replace some of his lost equipment and find a permanent new base. In the meantime, he has six horses to care for and feed at a temporary shelter.

We've rustled up some care packages for Brian and his horses to get through the first stages of this crisis. But we know we've barely started to help him rebuild his life and livelihood.

We're asking for any support you can give him and his animal family to help get their lives up and running again.
