We welcomed our sweet Malachi Jude Aguas into the world on Thursday September 29, 2021 at 6:16pm.

Less than 24 hours after he was born, the doctors discovered he has a rare heart condition that is requiring intensive care, will require multiple procedures and surgeries as well as lifelong cardiology check ups.

The good news is he’s very stable and doing well for where he’s at. He’s in great care with the doctors and healthcare workers at Children’s Hospital in Dallas.

These last few days have brought so many emotions, lots of ups and downs, many many tears, readjusting expectations of what we thought the next few weeks/months/years will look like, and learning & processing so much new information.

We know and trust that God is good, and that he loves Kai more than we ever could. Malachi Jude means “messenger of God’s praise,” and we believe that even in the challenges & struggles of his condition and the journey ahead, that his life will showcase the magnificence of our Lord.

We love our little boy so much. Despite all the challenges, bringing him into the world and having him as a part of our family has brought us so much joy.
