Making Math Count

Tax deductible
Year 2020, all public school students were sent home in the middle of the school day to begin their remote learning; I was actually in the classroom teaching 9th graders at that time.

Elementary to high-school students were simply sent home and were told not to return until further notice.

Early Elementary students were in the midst of mastering academic foundations such as phonics and reading. High-school students were learning difficult math concepts. For many fourth graders, they were learning long-division; learning long-division proves to be a difficult concept to master in-person, let alone online. Must I mention the middle school to 9th grade student who had pre- algebra or algebra during 2020?

Today, that same student is now trying to catch up (fill learning gaps) to where s/he is supposed to be academically, while also learning his/her current grade-level topics.

Since 2014, Making Math Count's mission is to strongly lay the basic math foundation for students in grades 3rd-8th. Now more than ever, many students desperately need to be remediated in both math and reading due to that 2020 mishap.

Funds are needed to make the remediation happen. With that, tutors can be properly compensated for their time and talent. Commercial space can be rented or purchased. Supplies and office equipment will be secured. Families can receive this much needed service at a free to affordable rate based on household income.

Want to join me in making a difference in the future of America, for our youth holds it? If we don't, we're truly advancing nowhere fast!

I'm raising money to benefit Making Math Count, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your tax-deductible contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

Our American students MUST do away with the CALCULATORS when doing BASIC MATH!
