Making Christmas Smiles Bright

The holidays are my favorite time of year! A time for family to gather, celebrate, and rejoice. It's also a time to count our blessings and be thankful for the things in our lives.  Five years ago, I taught my two boys about the gift of giving. To help them understand that the toys on the bottom of the toy chest, the ones they haven't touched in months, could be some other little boy or girls new found treasure. We packed up a bag of toys as well as cloths and brought them to an area in town that needed assistance. After visiting with these families, my heart was touched in away that I can't even explain. With the guidence of my father, I contacted a Manatee County elementary school that was in great need. Each year, we've grown with the number of children/families supported. This would not be possible without the help of our family, friends, and our community. I thank you with my whole heart for allowing us to bring smiles to children that may not have experienced a Christmas. I thank you for helping to alleviate the pressure for these single parents, grandparents, gaurdians, or families. The pressure of not knowing how to provide warm cloths, jackets, shoes, socks, and underwear to the children. Yes, these items are on the children's Christmas lists. With everything going on in our world, placing a smile on the face of a child is most precious! Please considering donating to make these children's Christmas wish come true!!!
