Hi Everybody,
My name is Grant Lyndon.
This is Make it March, for Anna.
#makeitmarch is an incentive that I launched at the beginning of march. It literally meant to make March the month to do "that thing" that you'd always been putting off. I'm a family man with four children & saw a great need to help families not as fortunate as ourselves. I also used this time to action some personal change that I felt was needed. I'm asking you with your donations to sponsor my efforts and in turn contribute to a very heartbreaking and worthy cause.
What did I go without?
I went the whole month of March without coffee, refined sugar, and alcahol. I also committed to exercising intensely for a minimum of 10mins every day.
Who is it for?
Anna is a single mother with three children living in regional New South Wales. She is dying from a very rare and inoperable form of cancer. She has to travel to a major city, often on public transport, and sometimes for a good ten hours (one way), for her treatment and has had to pay upfront herself for much of it too. She has very little family assistance if any at all, and cannot even afford to pay for her electricty bills.
Some people in the community have been chipping in some of their own monies to help her out but those resources are certainly not a bottomless well.
My own mother passed away after losing a 3 year battle with cancer last year and this is very close to my heart.
I want us to raise as much money as we can in three weeks.
Our goal is $25,000
The monies raised from your donations will go toward any ongoing treatment, living expenses, and very importantly care for her three children when she sadly passes away. Her cancer is spreading rapidly and the doctors haven't given her very long to live at all.
Please dig deep and donate what you can. There is no amount too little and no amount too large. You will be able to track how close we are to acheiving our goal, and of course I will be updating you with any developments in Anna's condition or situation.
