Help me Make Better Happen

My name is Sanovia Garret and I am going to City Year Philadelphia. City Year works to bridge the gap between what schools are designed to do and what students actually need. By mentoring, tutoring, programming, keeping track of students academic progress and so much more, I will be making an impact in students lives so that they can continue on to Graduation and also realize the importance of service. I am asking your help in raising 4,000 to offset apartment costs, relocation, and living in Philadelphia. I will be moving almost 700 miles away to a new city and as of right now I don't have much to help me. CY does give a living stipend of roughly a little under a 1,000 a month so I will be supported that way, but this is primarily a volunteer program with AmeriCorps.
