Make Us Parents with IVF

Trent and I were together over 3 years before getting married on April 3, 2011. We have always talked about wanting to have children and have worked very hard over the last 8 years to establish our careers and household. With that being said, we are now wanting to start a family and have hit some major roadblocks. After trying for a while without any success, we were referred to a fertility specialist. We found out this past Friday that our only opportunity to have a baby is through IVF. Due to some genetic concerns they also want us to undergo genetic testing of the embryos, in addition to the IVF process. 

This brings us to the reason we are creating this GoFundMe page and sharing it with everyone. In order to go through IVF, all costs must be paid up front before they will start any aspect of the process. With health insurance, we will still have to pay around $6,000 out-of-pocket for just the IVF process and procedures. The medications that go with IVF must be paid for separately (with or without insurance) and will range from $2,500 to $3,000. Finally, the genetic embryo testing will cost $2,000 and insurance does not cover any portion of that. 

We are looking into all financial avenues to help us make this dream of having a baby become a reality. As we continue to navigate through this journey, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
