Make Ozzie Great Again

On Memorial Day, Ozzie our adorable and friendly dog was attacked at Logan Square Dog Park. The initial incident was very shocking and we left the park without getting the contact info of the dog owner.
Now 2 1/2 weeks later Ozzie has been through 3 procedures to try to close one of the wounds. One of the lacerations was in a high motion area on his underside and the sutures tore on two seperate occasions. He is now undergoing a new process of a daily bandage change (at the ER vet) to help scar tissue form. After this, the doctors will again attempt to close his wound with sutures. While it has been tough to watch him in so much pain and confused, we are feeling hopeful today after some good news from the doctor that the wound looks clean of infection and is healing.
This however has meant that the vet bills continue to pile up. I am so mad we left without getting the contact information of the dog ower. The #1 rule posted upon the entrance of the park state 'Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries caused by their dogs.' and #5 states 'Dogs with a known history of, or who exhibit, dangerous behaviors are prohibited'. It took two adult men to get the attacking dog off of Ozzie, one having to pry him off of his throat. And multiple witnesses defended Ozzie as we ran out to get him to the ER. While the responsible woman and her dog left and we were unfortunately not able to get her information.
Any and only tiny donations would be much appreciated. And even just knowing that people are reading and thinking about Ozzie helps too.
