Make Jim’s dream a reality!

I can’t even begin to tell you the love my dad (Jim Crew) has for the outdoors, walking and mountains in our beautiful country especially The Highlands! He has enjoyed this hobby for in excess of 30years. One of his dream places is a bothy called the CIC Hut which is approx 2,200 ft up Ben Nevis, my friends and I have had the privilege of joining him on a couple of trips there and agree it is a spectacular place to visit. Sadly like a lot of people Covid has restricted us all from getting around this last year and my dad from visiting the CIC hut. The hope of getting to the hut again is something that certainly brings a smile to his face but sadly his health is deteriorating and as time goes on this dream is looking very unlikely which got me thinking, how can I help him achieve this? I have contacted a helicopter company who has confirmed that once restrictions allow they can drop him at the hut and pick him up the next day which would be absolutely amazing and a dream come true! The cost for this part alone is £4,200 which is why I am asking for help as time is important. If for any reason the hut cannot open for a while they have also confirmed that a tour of the highlands would also be possible. This is something that I have had to think hard about doing as it isn’t easy to ask for help and not sure how my dad would feel as he is a proud man but it would mean the world to give him this opportunity. If for any reason this cannot take place any money raised will be donated to a Cancer charity on behalf of my dad. My dad is unaware that I am doing this as I would love to surprise him if possible so please don’t spoil the surprise! Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this xx
