MAJURA PRIMARY SCHOOL COLOUR FUN DAY

Majura Primary School P&C needs your help with our Colour Fun Day Fundraiser.

Once again we have had a tough year. We are putting that behind us and are making time for the kids to let their hair down, have loads of fun, get SUPER MESSY. The Colour Fun Day is a fun activity that every student from pre-school to year 6 can participate in. The funds raised here will pay for the costs associated with providing this activity free of charge to every student. Additional money raised will help kick off 2022.

The COVID-19 pandemic has put a stop to many of the school's social activities, as well as critical fundraising that our ever growing school relies on. Our biggest annual fundraiser, the Spring Carnival, has been cancelled two years in row and this has put a huge dent in P&C bank account.

The Majura P&C provides so many additional resources for the school that the Education Directorate can not fund. Over the past few years the P&C has funded the following, plus more:

• additional air-conditioning of classrooms

• a huge kitchen garden greenhouse and work benches

• additional landscaping and the planting of more trees in our Naturescape playground

• IT equipment to help our youngest students adapt to home learning

• additional library books and teaching resources

Our Colour Fun Day is one last opportunity for the P&C to raise some much needed funds so that we go into 2022 with money ready to do great things. Supporting student well being and reconnecting our school community will be a major focus.

We know many families have done it tough this year and we do not want to put pressure on the fundraising side of things. All students will be able to participate in our Colour Fun Day regardless of funds raised. If people can give, that’s great. If not, we understand.
