Maizy’s Medical Expenses

On June 5th 2021 around 7:30pm I was taking my dog Maizy to pet smart to buy some new toys and get out of the house for a bit. While driving Maizy accidentally hit the window button with her paw and rolled the car window all the way down. I normally have child lock on for windows so this doesn’t happen but for whatever reason child lock was not on. My biggest fear was Maizy would jump out of the moving car. Today My biggest fear came true and Maizy jumped out of my car on US12 between Clinton and Saline going 50mph and a Car hit her and did not bother to stop but just kept driving. My heart fell out of my chest I stopped my car and ran to Maizy as fast as possible. A man and woman also pulled over and helped me get Maizy off the road and into my car. We called the nearest emergency hospital which was BluePearl in Ann Arbor MI. They took us in and got Maizy stable however in order for Maizy to make a full recovery is pretty costly. Maizy has bruised lungs and is oxygen dependent as of right now so that way her lungs aren’t working to hard. Maizy also has a fractured jaw which we will not know if it will need surgery just yet. Maizy is a fighter and I would take a bullet for her as she is my whole world. Money is a bit tight and vet expenses aren’t always the most affordable. Maizy is only 10 MONTHS OLD. She is just a baby and has a whole life still ahead of her. Please help me give Maizy a fighting chance at life.
