Maiyah's Cancer Fund

My little niece, Maiyah, has brain cancer and I need your support to help her fight it. Last month my younger sister noticed that Maiyah was limping. She had gone to the doctor and found nothing was wrong with her leg, so the doctors ordered an MRI. In addition to the limping, Maiyah lost grip in her left hand. The doctor’s and nurses thought it might have been a small stroke but unfortunately, when she went in for the MRI, they found it was much worse. The lemon-sized tumor was located on her right side and it was pressing on her brain and caused the loss of motor control. The doctors thought it was benign, but a biopsy revealed that it's cancerous and aggressive.

My sister will have to take extended medical leave and will try to make it with a reduced salary. As you can imagine this is devastating for her because she lives paycheck to paycheck. Maiyah’s father is already looking for a second job and my sister is looking for a smaller apartment or room for rent. I am budgeting to take over as many of her expenses as I can but unfortunately, it will still be rough for them. This is where I need your support. It would really help my family if you could contribute any amount. I am trying to raise enough to at least make up the difference in her salary from going on medical leave for a few months. It breaks my heart that she has to deal with the stress and anxiety of dealing with Maiyah’s illness as well as the financial repercussions. Please help me make sure that Maiyah has the best environment possible to fight and win her battle with cancer.
