Kevin Moranz West Coast Arenacross

The boys at Main Event Moto would like to raise $1,500 for Kevin Moranz to race the 2018 West Coast AX series. Kevin is a hard working 18 year old kid who is chasing the Arenacross series on his own, traveling thousands of miles around the country on a limited budget.

A backstory on Kevin......

“I started racing at age 4. My dream from the very beginning was to become a professional motorcross racer. My family and I encountered many obstacles early on. We struggled financially and my parents lived paycheck to paycheck. To help pay for my racing I would go dumpster diving at the amateur nationals and pick up all of the used tires that people didn't want anymore. I'd take them home, clean them up, and sell them. I didn't really know anybody in the Racing industry so I didn't have any connections or a way to get good deals. I have worked for everything I have so I have a true respect for my parents and a true respect for the value of a dollar. Also I was not given the opportunity to homeschool like most kids that race nowadays. I went all the way through public high school and played varsity football my sophomore to Senior year. I graduated last year (2017) and have decided to give my all towards racing. I am 18, full-time online college student going for a degree in entrepreneurship/business. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and am more motivated than ever. Nothing will stop me from reaching my goals unless my body physically won't let me.”

Ok, Motoheads.....

Let’s be clear, Kevin isn’t the only racer facing challenges. But he stood out to the Main Event Moto crew because of his DIY mentality, 4.0 GPA, and his ability to burst onto the scene winning his Heat Race and finishing 6th at his first Arenacross EVER! His goal is to race and win the Lites West Championship, while finishing top 11 in points in AX, and collecting a top 5 or two along the way.

Kevin will travel and race in Denver, Boise, Wichita, Portland, Reno, and Las Vegas. These funds will help with fuel and food. Thank you all so much.
