We are five seniors in high school and are utterly fascinated with science.
We have recently been given the opportunity to attend the experimental biology conference in San Diego in April.
At the conference, we will share a professional poster that highlights the molecular mechanisms of insulin, insulin receptors, and cone snail insulin-like proteins. We will also be sharing 3D printed models of both human and cone snail insulin to greater emphasize their similarities. Our research of cone snail insulin could potentially help diabetics by increasing insulin activation time by upwards of 200%.
We need funding in order to travel to and attend the conference.
Your contribution will help five young women expand their horizons in biology and the world.
