The Magical Mystery Tour

On March 5, 2017,  our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Marilyn Rasnick, was diagnosed  with advanced small cell lung cancer .  After her diagnosis she has been treated with radiation and six months of chemotherapy. Six  weeks after her last chemotherapy treatment a CT scan revealed  there was new growth.  Because Marilyn has not been in remission long enough, she is not eligible for addional chemotherapy treatments. She continues to be treated with radiation in her chest and profolactic radiation to the brain, these radiation treatments are to help extend her life long enough to get into a cancer treatment trial.  At the end of November Marilyn hopes to be healthy enough to enter the Atlantis Trial.  Her wonderful oncologist, Dr. Michael Batalo, has kept it real, and has encouraged her to spend quality time with her family and friends, as well as to do anything that she has always wanted to do  (aka "a bucket list") before this trial begins.  Marilyn has expressed that she would love to travel to  places accross the U.S.A accompanied by her children.  Marilyn's sons will be escorting her in a camper caravan with her other children and grandchildren visiting along the way .  Funding is needed to kick off the trip by mid October!  Marilyn was hoping to fund the trip with an early draw from her life insurace policy.  The review period is taking longer then anticipated, but due to the time constraints,  the trip needs to start as soon as her radiation treatments are completed.    When the insurance funds are released the  family will donate the amount collected on Gofundme to the First Health Cancer Center and the Clara McLean Hospitality House in Pinehurst , NC. The donation will be in honor of those who helped fund the Magical Mystery Tour.
