Magic Gaming Boys & Girls Club Fundraiser
To celebrate the upcoming launch of NBA 2K22, Magic Gaming has partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida to help raise money for their local chapters here in central Florida.
Magic Gaming will be collecting donations, spotlighting local clubs in Central Florida, and highlighting all the amazing resources Boys & Girls Clubs offer to young people.
Boys & Girls Club of America is a national organization of local chapters which provides voluntary after-school programs for young people. Their mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Their chapters impact these young people's lives in a variety of different ways:
Developing Globally Competitive Graduates
- 52% of 12th grade Club members express an interest in a STEM career, compared with 27% of 12th graders nationally.
- 97% of Club teens expect to graduate from high school.
- 76% of low-income Club members ages 12 to 18 who attend the Club regularly reported receiving mostly As and Bs, compared to 67% of their peers nationally.
Creating 21st-Century Leaders
- 75% of regularly attending members said they volunteered in their community, Club, school, or neighborhood at least once in the past year, with 41% of those volunteering at least once per month.
- 87% of Club youth said they can stand up for what is right.
Building a Healthier Generation
- 94% of Club members said there are many things they can do well.
- 80% of Club youth said they understand how their feelings influence how they act.
- 66% of ninth-grade Club boys report they exercise daily, compared with the 58% of ninth-grade boys nationally.
- 47% of ninth-grade Club girls report they exercise daily, compared with the 42% of ninth-grade girls nationally.
