On the morning of February 7, 2017, our beloved family members, Maggie Bridges and Zach Laurie's home in Marin County, CA was hit by a massive mudslide. Maggie and son Banyan were home alone. It was terrifying, Maggie was knocked to the ground when the mudslide crashed into the house. Maggie escaped with her son through the bathroom window, without shoes or jackets. While emergency teams were on their way, Maggie sought shelter at a neighbors house. Their home has been red tagged. They are homeless. The nature of this disaster has prompted denial of any insurance benefits.
News crews were on the scene this morning and filmed their story. You can watch and read it by clicking here .
We call upon you, if you feel so inlcined, to help Maggie, Zach and Banyan rebuild their lives. Though they are intact, their home is not. Everything it takes to make a home, except love, has been lost to mud and rain, a literal offering to Mother Earth. Zach is self-employed so there is a loss of income too. We are blessed they escaped unharmed and that your donations extend to help them feel the blessings of your generous support.
