Magaly’s medical fund

Many of you know and love Magaly. She’s been my housekeeper and friend for over 4 years. She was recently diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer and has begun treatment here in Costa Rica. (Forgive the Miami zip code if you’re seeing that, but it wouldn’t accept a Costa Rican code.) She is a single mom with  two children, Stefanie and Jordan.  She is their sole provider. While there is national healthcare, the urgency of her need required her to see private doctors which costs her money she doesn’t have. Her doctor told her she might not be able to work for up to a year and, of course, she’ll be going through recovery and rehabilitation with the associated costs. I, and several others, will be supporting her as much as we can but it’d be nice if we could help give her peace of mind and some help as she faces this challenge.  She’ll be facing medical bills, food and household needs in the next months.
