Hi all!! I’m Mady’s mom, Shawna. Thank you for all the continued support. My dear friend Elaine started this campaign for us, we are very grateful
We are having to relocate to Cincinnati immediately so that Madelyn can have a life saving surgery to remove her colon and repair the sphincter and rectum nerves. We have thankfully been referred to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, the leader in rare GI disorders. 80% of their patients come from all over the world, over 68 countries.

We respectfully pray for her story to be shared and all donations will go to her care and recovery. She needs 24/7 continuing care, is currently home schooled and immediate relocation to Cincinnati.
Madelyn Faith was born premature and with no nerve function in her colon, rectum and sphincter. She has been hospitalized dozens of times since birth and has undergone numerous surgeries to correct the problem with no success.
She has been a patient at Rady’s Children’s Hospital San Diego, Children’s Hospital of Atlanta, USA Children’s Hospital Mobile AL. With how rare her condition is, her team of doctors referred her to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, world renown for rare GI diseases.
After months of waiting, Mady will be admitted in one week to start treatment and surgeries. Which includes but not limited to removing diseased colon, try to correct nerves in her rectum and sphincter, placing a colostomy while the colon heals. Unfortunately until they go in a look around we won’t know if there’s other issues, or if things are even more severe than we think.
Ronald McDonald House has over a month long waitlist, so we have to make other living accommodations.

I can’t watch my baby go through this anymore, it’s heart shattering to watch your child rapidly decline and not be able to be a 12 year old little girl. No child should ever have to suffer, I wish I could take it all from her.
