Madison's Medical Fund
Madison is a current college student who is pursuing a pharmaceutical degree from Butler. She graduated high school with honors and has always done well in school.
Madison was admitted into the hospital on Wednesday, September 13th. She has gone through days of various tests, and they now believe she has Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (aHUS). This is an extremely rare disease that progressively damages organs and can lead to many life-threatening issues. She has experienced kidney failure, and has had a plasma exchange, dialysis, a blood transfusion, and is now receiving SOLIRIS as it is the first and only approved treatment for aHUS.
She has already been in the hospital for over a week, and is expected to stay there for at least another week. As you can probably imagine, this is going to be a long recovery process and hospital bills are not cheap.
If you can, please help by donating- anything helps. If not, please share this link and spread the word!
Please keep her and her family in your thoughts/prayers as well!
