It’s no secret that Mac High has the best kids in the board, and that our Music kids are some of the most passionate, creative and hard working teenagers that you’ll ever meet!
But it’s getting harder and harder to provide the tools that they need to learn... Our inventory is mostly made up of instruments that are over 35 years old, and each year a few of them have to be retired because they just aren’t worth repairing anymore... And that’s even considering that the average band instrument costs around 2 000$...
The last thing we want to do is hike up school fees. We want everyone in our community to be able to learn Music, regardless of family income. Soooo... We need your help!
By helping us here, you will be supporting our kids’ learning and musical growth!
We could reference tons of scientific articles that show that learning Music is one of the best ways to improve academic performance in every single subject, but you probably already know that. Instead, if you play or have played an instrument in the past, remember the joy and pride that you felt. If not, admit it: you’ve always been a little jealous of those that did! ;-)
Our 5000$ goal will enable us to buy 3 new instruments. It isn't many, but it's a start!
