Kiss for GIST - Regorafenib fund
Donation protected
Jemma, 31, mother of two beautiful strong girls, suffers from a rare form of cancer. It can't be cured, but there are drugs available to give her and other GIST sufferers a chance of longer life.
Jemma has recently found out that Regorafenib, the third cancer drug in her treatment that could prolong her life, has been withdrawn!
NHS England says that the decision was based on a detailed assessment of the drug and its benefits but we are hoping to get the decision turned around for Jemma and other GIST patients.
We want to do all that we can to ensure that Jemma is able to enjoy as many long years as possible with her family, watching her children grow up. It may be that she can be referred elsewhere to get the drugs required for instance.
Money raised will be put aside to help towards funding Jemma's medication if we are unable to get it back onto the NHS. If we are successful through the petition (http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/73911) then the funds raised can be donated to GIST Support UK (http://www.gistsupportuk.com/) to help all sufferers.
Thank you in advance for your kind donations and support to Jemma and her family.
