We’re asking for your help to support our sister’s fight against cancer. This story starts with our big sis, Jessica Kempker. Born December 29th 1982. She grew up with one older brother and four younger brothers ranging in birth from 1981 to 1990. Jessica knew early she would have to be strong in order to survive the dominant male household, which she had absolutely no problem with. We all knew she was stronger than any one of us boys combined, and we were most of the time afraid of her determination and strength, but somehow knew it would shape us as adults. Jessica grew a family. She met Sean, and they started their livelihood making their living at a quaint and remote fishing camp known as Swain Post. Before we knew it her family grew. Hank was born, and a couple years later her first battle with breast cancer had started.

In 2018 Jessica was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer with the BCRA2 gene mutation. She endured intensive chemotherapy and underwent a double mastectomy. Jessica was ultimately victorious in her first battle with cancer, while also raising Hank, her young son. She and Sean also recently added another Son, George, to their family.

Jessica was in remission for almost exactly 3 years when she found out that her cancer had suddenly and aggressively returned. She was having trouble breathing and later found that her difficulty breathing was caused by fluid in her lungs. The fluid was a symptom of the breast cancer that had metastasized in her lungs. After comprehensive testing, she later found that the cancer was also prominent in her liver, spine, and brain.

Jessica has a long road ahead of her that will involve multiple chemo, radiation, and specialist visits.

In addition to the medical bills and travel costs Jessica will incur for her treatment; Jessica and Sean’s

primary source of income is the fishing camp that they run together in Ontario, Canada.

Due to the Covid19 border closures last summer and this summer, they have not been able to operate the camp at all. If the border were to open this summer, Jessica and Sean would not be able to open the camp while Jessica fights cancer. We’re asking for any support you may be able to provide for Jessica and her family while she fights for her life.
