Maja's Medical Expenses

Our dear friend Maja was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer.  As some of you may know she has been dealing with a lot of personal setbacks recently and this news adds even more burden to her.  On Tuesday Maja will undergo surgery to have a thyroidectomy and complete neck dissection.  This will be followed by iodine radiation treatments and a long recovery period during which time she will not be able to speak and have to deal with the associated pain of recovery.  Today is her last day at the office and she will be out for a few months, during which time she will only be able to collect a small portion of her salary through disability.  We would like to help lessen the financial burden on her during this difficult time. 

Maja has always been a bright and cheerful soul and even through this difficult time she has always maintained a positive spirit.  Her smile is infectious and in her words, she continues to be "Positive Polly".
