Ffion's Fund
We would like to send Ffion, and her family, on a special holiday as 2 years ago she contracted Streptoccus A Sepsis, which has led to her losing the sight of her right eye and resulted in massive soft tissue damage and a bone infection in her lower leg which has meant that in August 2014, Ffion had to have a through ankle amputation to remove her left foot. She has spent much of the last 2 years in and out of Birmingham Children's Hospital and subsequently the Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry having multiple operations and skin grafts to try and save her leg, but the damage was too severe. Despite all of this Ffion is a happy little girl who started school in a wheelchair shortly after her amputation, and now has a 'new leg' and amazes everyone with her joy of life.
The last 2 years have been a very difficult time for all the family and it would be wonderful to send them on holiday where they can all make happy memories.
