Support Wilbur Cross X-Country Team 2024

Hey, this is Jake Halpern. I am the dad of a senior on the Wilbur Cross x-country squad. The team is an amazing institution, thanks in LARGE part to the team’s beloved coach, Travis Gale. Many of you know Coach Gale well. For those who don’t, let me just say he is INCREDIBLE. He is tirelessly committed to a huge roster of over 50 kids. He encourages them, cares for them, and truly pushes them to be their best selves. He tells them constantly: “I don’t have kids of my own – you guys are my kids!” Coach Gale’s own mom even comes to the meets with her own baked goods. He has created a genuine family. He also draws in students and parents from a diverse range of races, ethnicities, and classes. He represents the very best in public education and his team has flourished.

All of this being said, the team and Coach Gale need our help. Wilbur Cross is not a fancy school with a big endowment. The team needs so many things including snacks and drinks for meets, uniforms, sneakers, a timer for meets, travel money for away meets, and funding for another coach.
