Hunter's Healing Fund

On Tuesday morning my brother Hunter was in scooter accident in Key West, FL. He was taken to the local ER, there they determined he had a brain bleed in his left temporal lobe. At that time the local ER called to transfer him to a trauma center in Miami to better care for his injury. They air-lifted Hunter to Ryder Trauma. Once he arrived they notice that he was agitated from the flight, so the team decided to intubate. After intubation they decided to do another Cat Scan and found out that the brain bleed was getting worse and he had right sided skull fracture. Since the brain bleed was getting worse they decided to have Hunter go into surgery. In the surgery they removed a portion of his skull measuring 12 cm by 16 cm by 8 cm to relieve pressure. After surgery, sudation was reduced and did base line testing. Hunter was found to be appropriately responsive and following commands. He then was placed back under sudation for comfort.
