Mieke's Insulin Pump Campaign

Donation protected
I am the most blessed man in the world.  I have been given the opportunity to share my life with a wonderful, beautiful, incredible, God-loving/God-fearing woman who has made me the happiest man alive.  For those who don't know, Mieke has type 1 Diabetes and must live her life trying to balance out blood sugars, watch what she eats, and must be on high alert at all times of the day and night.  It is one of the most exhausting ways of life, and I admire the fact that she does it every day fighting harder and harder each day.  She doesn't let it stop her from achieving her dreams.
One of her dreams is to be able to be a mother, and I would love nothing more than to be a father of her children.  However, pregnancy is a scary thing, and it's even scarier for someone with Type 1 Diabetes.  There are huge health risks for someone with Type 1, and this is a huge fear of both of ours.  We have several things we have to do to get her health under control, blood sugars balanced out, and medical precautions must be made.  A huge step in the right direction is to get Mieke using an insulin pump.  This pump will not only help regulate the amount of insulin she receives, but will also alert me if she is sleeping and cannot wake up, and will alert others that she is a diabetic in case she is unable to do so.
We have prayed that the proper steps be taken to not only improve her health, but help us manage her diabetes, and a perk of this is also a way to help us become parents in the future.  Insurance has helped a lot by paying for the majority of the pump, but we are left with an amount left to be paid.  We are already struggling to make payments on medical supplies and medical bills that insurance will not cover.  Because of her diabetes, Mieke is already working a full time job and cannot work any more.  I am finishing school, and until I can work a full time job with benefits, we are stuck with whatever money we are able to make each month, which sadly does not always meet the required bills each month.  We know that with God all things are possible, and we firmly believe that God has called us to be parents.  We must get Mieke's diabetes under control.
Now, Mieke and I both understand that in life we must call on our fellow prayer warriors, family, and friends to help us in times of need.  If you cannot make a donation of any size, please be praying for us.  I firmly believe that God is in control, and he will allow us to do whatever will glorify Him.  Please  join us either by donating, praying, or both!  Any donation of any size will help, and if we are able to raise more money than what is needed, we will be donating the remaining funds to our church so that God may be glorified.  Please join us in this journey!
