Hurricane Relief

As many of you know, Hurricane Florence recently hit the Carolinas. My mom, sister and her family all live in New Bern, NC.    My sister and I luckily convinced our mom to evacuate from her downtown home to my sister's home on higher ground.  Downtown New Bern was flooded with 7-10 foot storm surge.  Our mom's place was flooded and she lost everything.   We found out yesterday that her renters insurance does not cover anything in the case of a flood.  Our mom has spent her life helping others and continues to do so now by working at Home Instead.  We would like to return the favor and help her replace the furniture and clothing that she lost in the flood.  We are a prideful family and this is hard to ask but we know it is the right thing to do for mom.
