Some of you may already know about my passion for the St. John Cancer Fund...I love them, I love what they're about, I love working with them and I love that every person (including you!) that contributes their time, money or word of mouth does so selflessly to help others. That just tickles me. so...
My original goal was to send you each a handwritten letter and information sheet on the fabulous event known as "Light Up The Night" put on by the St. John Cancer fund... I wanted to do so because so many of you have hearts the size of Texas and I know that you are alway smore than willing to lend a hand, after all any amount helps our goal! Please help me and my team raise our funds for this year's event on January 23, 2016- January 24. If you want to keep it old school and send a check please make it payable to "Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands, memo: St John Cancer Fund" and send directly to me at PO BOX 37 St. John USVI 00831.
This event will be a non-profit luminary walk through the night with entertainment, food and the feel good Love City atmosphere we all know and love <3 Thank you for any donation, share or love you send our way! xoxo
“St John Cancer Fund provides monies for prevention, treatment and supportive services in the fight against cancer on behalf of the Community of St John, USVI.”
St John Cancer Patient Fund
"The purpose of the Fund is to provide monies for local cancer patients who have appealed to the St John Cancer Fund for assistance. Excluding the payment of airfare and medical prescription costs, which are covered in the US Virgin Islands by the American Cancer Society, the St John Cancer Fund will address the financial needs of cancer patients living on St John, USVI, by providing funds towards medical treatment expenses including initial chemo, radiation, medical testing, medical equipment and other needs relating to quality of life. The St John Cancer Patient Fund is not set up to handle the complete medical coverage of any individual, but rather to help in small ways towards making the burden on the cancer patient easier to bear. St John Cancer Fund encourages patients to exhaust all other resources so that its limited funds can serve as many St John residents who are suffering from cancer as possible. Currently there is a cap of $2500 per patient per year. This is subject to change as our fundraising efforts continue to grow."
