Rod, at 53 years old, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer on January 25, 2015.  This came as a complete shock to Rod and his family after a trip to the emergency room the previous day.  As you can imagine, Rod and his family are struggling emotionally and financially to deal with this overwhelming news.

At this time, Rod’s prognosis is unknown, but he has many difficult months of treatment ahead of him.  As a devoted husband to Barb, father to five children and grandfather to five, Rod faces many upcoming challenges as he fights to KICK CANCER’S BUTT!

Last week, Rod received 30 radiation treatments over a five-day period.  He will meet with his surgeon and chemotherapy doctor on Tuesday, February 10to determine a plan of action.  

Rod will undergo surgery to try to eliminate as much of the cancer as possible and to have a port placed in his chest for chemo treatments that will follow. 

Rod has always been a hard-working individual who has always made it a priority to provide for his family.  However, due to his recent diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing doctor visits, he is unable to do so because he cannot work and doesn’t have disability insurance.  

I’ve established this page so that people, near and far, who wish to support Rod and his family, can do so through their prayers, by helping to pay for travel and medical expenses, and offering any other assistance to help Rod and his family, as they pursue viable treatment options.
